The Work : ICF seeks an energetic and curious Business Analyst to guide development of a user facing, web-based data collection tool, as well as a portfolio of business intelligence products. Specifically, the BA will further our t eam goal of monitoring, refining, and completing initiatives related to our Alternative Management System (AMS).

Job Location: Remote within the United States.

T his position requires that the job be performed in the United States. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections.

  • Our core work hours are 10am - 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.
  • You may be asked to travel for a conference o r to another ICF location for collaboration once a quarter .


What You Will Do:

  • Typical projects include development of client-centric business intelligence dashboards and reports related to model participations in Medicare models, and file upload/model information intake.
  • Duties will also include participating in release and sprint planning, obtaining tech approaches and rough order of magnitudes (ROM) for proposed enhancements or new work, presenting ROMs to client and PO to help prioritize releases, liaising between client(s), developer(s), and quality assurance tester(s), to ensure satisfaction and understanding.
  • Plan stories and BUS/TUS epics for releases and sprints; participate in release planning, baselining, and development
  • Liaising between client(s), developer(s), and quality assurance tester(s); answering developer questions and communicating with client to ensure team is maintaining velocity
  • Assist scrum masters and tech leads in eliminating delays and blocks to developers
  • Breaking down Epics (BUS and TUS) into functional user stories and ordering them in a way that makes sense to the product team and meets business user needs
  • Ensuring user stories include acceptance criteria and labels that reasonably cover all areas necessary for complete testing of the functionality
  • Leading Discuss BUS, refinement, and sprint planning meetings to ensure work is matched and complements each developer's strengths and objectives
  • Working with tech leads to help identify patterns in defects and work out processes to ensure there are no reopen defects.


What You Will Bring With You:

  • Bachelor's degree , preferably in C omputer S cience
  • 2 + years experience in a B usiness Analyst role , to include experience with BI tools ( e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI)and Data Analysis and ETL
  • Scrum or other Agile certification
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years

  • Master's degree
  • Ability to self-organize, priorities and conduct research on multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in consulting or healthcare is an advantage but not essential.

  • Independently interacting with clients on technical/functional topics, work performance and task schedule to proactively identify potential follow-on opportunities, challenging assumptions and identifying growth opportunities for AMS
  • Leading client-specific initiatives from Tech Approach and ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) through delivery, including client demos
  • Good leadership and team-working skills.
  • Highly effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is :
$98,124.00 - $166,810.00
