System Engineer – Command and Control (C2)

Job Description:
Systems Engineer – Command and Control (C2) supporting one of our premier programs in the business unit, where your knowledge with regards to clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification will be put to good use.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing a modern approach to systems engineering - balancing the need for structured requirements with innovation and streamlined processes.
- Organize and improve templates, documentation, and workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Champion Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) by leveraging modern tools like CAMEO to enhance system design and analysis.
- Maintain and update CAMEO models, ensuring accurate system representation and requirements documentation.
- Drive the early stages of development, transforming concepts into structured requirements and system models.
Required Skills:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience with systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis/synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation.
- Experience in Satellite Command/Control.
- Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.).
- Development experience on a government contract.
Desired Skills:
- Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases.
- Experience with MBSE, CAMEO or Agile/Scrum (a plus).
- Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment.
