Technical Consultant – Public Sector
Clearance: Top Secret or above required
Location: Onsite in McLean, VA (5 days a week).
Relocation is expected if not living in the McLean area, but open to discussion on a case-by-case basis.
Pay Range: $95K - $115K base
+10% for Top Secret
+15% for TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
+20% for TS/SCI w/ FS Poly
Additional Compensation: Annual bonus and stock option grants (RSUs)
Experience Level: Typically 1–4 years, though more experienced candidates will also be considered
Position Overview
This role is part of a public sector-focused customer success team. As a Technical Consultant, you’ll work with clients post-sale to design, develop, and implement custom software solutions on a low-code platform. You’ll deliver high-impact applications that help clients drive digital transformation, streamline operations, and solve critical business challenges.
You’ll work in agile environments to model business processes, create relational data models, and develop APIs to integrate multiple systems. This is a hands-on development role, requiring collaboration with both technical teams and business stakeholders. A key focus is empowering clients to eventually build and manage solutions independently.
This position is based onsite at headquarters in McLean, VA. In-person collaboration is central to team culture and success.
Key Responsibilities
● Engage with clients to define and document technical and functional requirements
● Design and implement software solutions aligned with client goals
● Apply agile methodologies including pair programming, stand-ups, and sprint cycles
● Work with relational databases and write SQL queries, views, and joins
● Develop system integrations using APIs (REST/SOAP, JDBC, web services)
● Support software testing using automated frameworks and CI/CD tools
● Collaborate closely with both internal and client-facing teams
Basic Qualifications
● U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance and eligibility)
● Active Top Secret clearance or above, with willingness to work in a SCIF
● 1+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
● Willingness to travel (up to 10%) to support client engagements

● Object-oriented programming fundamentals
● Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and SQL
● Exposure to test-driven development and continuous integration
● Familiarity with cloud and integration tools (AWS, GCP, AI/ML, containers, etc.)
