About the Role
Caribou Thunder is seeking a highly motivated Test Analyst III to directly contribute to the development, testing, and validation of cutting-edge modeling and simulation capabilities that support National Defense.

As the Test Analyst, you will focus on testing simulation outputs and comparing results to real-world data to ensure accuracy and effectiveness. You will play a key role in supporting warfighter training, exercises, concept evaluations, system development, and performance assessments. This position is ideal for an early-career professional with a STEM background who is passionate about analysis, data comparison, and modeling & simulation in the missile defense domain.

Key Responsibilities
Test and validate new modeling and simulation capabilities for missile defense systems.

Compare simulation results to real-world data to assess accuracy and performance.

Collaborate with development teams, system engineers, and stakeholders to define test objectives and acceptance criteria.

Document test results, track issues, and contribute to the resolution of discrepancies.

Support customer-facing technical briefings, reports, and presentations.

Research technical specifications of space-based sensors and missile defense systems to support accurate modeling.

Operate within agile development teams while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree in a STEM Discipline and 3 years of related experience.

2+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, modeling & simulation, software testing, or related fields.

Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility required).

Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail when evaluating simulation data.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Self-starter who can work independently and within a team.

Familiarity with software development environments, especially Linux-based systems.

Experience working with SQL queries for data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to missile defense systems, space-based sensor systems, or OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) simulations.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

Experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.

Basic knowledge of C++, Java, or other programming languages used in modeling and simulation environments.

Prior experience supporting large-scale M&S systems using discrete event simulation frameworks.

Security Requirements
Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
