Job Description:

CDS is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support our Government Client in a high-performance computing environment while working effectively with mission-driven engineers, software developers, customers and project leadership. We are seeking an individual that has solid software development experience using JAVA and is comfortable using a variety of programming tools, such as Maven and Git.



Responsibilities:

· Development and testing JAVA based programs to support the Government’s data standardization requirements.

· Participate in daily standups

· Attend periodic code reviews

Required Skills/Qualifications:

· Strong knowledge of basic software development concepts

· Knowledge in Java or Python

· Knowledge of Big Data concepts

· Knowledge of Relational Database concepts

· Experience with issue tracking/documentation systems, specifically JIRA and Confluence

· Experience with version control systems, specifically git
