This job may be filled by a Test Specialist/Engineer Level 1 or Level 2, depending on experience.
The Test Specialist/Engineer is responsible for project support in planning, execution, and reporting of designated Program of Record systems. They will play a supporting role in achieving the organizations goals by assuring the setup, operation, and tear down of test architectures of various systems and subsystems designated for test. This position will directly impact Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Program of Record Systems in support of Program Office improvement and deployment goals.
CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES
Ability to perform the following, with guidance:
Assist in the set-up, operation, and tear down of the test architecture of various systems and sub-systems.
Assist in the execution of test procedures, analysis of test results, and generate final test documentation.
Support the troubleshooting of test issues and apply standard troubleshooting techniques to identify the issue with systems, support systems or interfaces. Provide operational support for trouble report resolution activities to include, system problem isolation/detection and resolution.
Support in the capture and collection of test data of each system and support system.
Support in the development of test cases, test procedures and test scripts, as required by the project/program.
Provide required periodic input for status report and/or Trouble Report Retest Status (TRRS) to the project lead. Submits all required input on time and with accuracy.
Assist with data collection, preliminary data analysis, data removal, data transfer, provide any data analysis information for Test Observation Reports (TORs), and reach back support, as needed.
Participate in project-oriented meetings for the management, progression, and or closure of support activities.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Foundational understanding of:
Common terminology within the scope of the program. This includes accurately utilizing terminology while communicating verbally or written.
Test and Evaluation Methodologies
Technical Writing
Troubleshooting
Standard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
GED and/or equivalent years of experience
Preferred (BS STEM Degree)

PAY RANGE
$75,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually, DOE
U.S. Citizenship is Required
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
