ClearanceJobs is assisting our Colorado Springs based client with their search for a Test Engineer/Analyst for an onsite position in Colorado Springs, CO.
This is an exciting opportunity to work supporting the Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASim) product line on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC). This includes designing, testing, analyzing, benchmarking, validation and verification, documenting, and integrating simulation products for the MDASim organization.
The ideal candidate is someone who will thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
A minimum of active DOD Secret Security Clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
• Testing new capabilities, documenting new features, and analyzing simulation performance
• Working with product and development teams, as well as external users and customers to determine acceptance criteria for new features.
• Supporting analysis of MDASIM benchmarking, anchoring, and Verification and Validation activities
• Supporting the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems
• Supporting agile software team within the context of a larger team
• Supporting the development of simulation and software architectures
• Interfacing with MDASIM customers and presenting technical briefings to MDASIM stakeholders
• Researching technical details related to various missile defense systems to better support model creation and enhancement
Required
• Active DOD Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices
• Understanding of software development and MS Windows platforms
• Experience in developing tools in MATLAB and/or similar analysis software.
• Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Strong, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
Desired:
• Experience with both C++ and Java source code
• Experience writing/tuning SQL queries
• Experience in agile software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Experience in engineering M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform
• Knowledge or experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GIT
