Description
Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a candidate to provide Linux server administration and Windows desktop administration on the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network supporting a US Government Customer. The selected candidate will work as the primary System Administrator for the upkeep and maintenance of three separate enclaves used by this project for their development. In addition, this administrator will maintain the desktop systems used by the project members. Linux is used as the primary server environment for both physical and virtual servers. The desktop environment is Windows 10 and 11. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently when needed, and coordinate tasking with team members. Some occasional local travel is required between San Diego and the Los Angles area.
Specific job duties include:
• RHEL system administration
• Windows 10 desktop and laptop system administration
• Able to perform mitigation of vulnerability found by ACAS scan
• Application of DISA STIGs
• Experience in gathering RMF artifacts to support accreditation
• Familiarity with managing and using containers
• Understand network diagram particularly Ports, Protocols, Services (PPS) and able to trace connection between different machines
• Experience with working in a cloud environment is a plus
• Experience working within configuration management processes and procedures

• LPIC-3 Senior Level Linux Professional
• RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer
• RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist
and one of the following:
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
• Configuring Windows 10 (70-697 or equivalent)
Required Skills
• 3 Years of Experience with Linux Systems
• Windows desktop management experience
• Experience with Linux and Windows VM environment
Desired Skills
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
• Experience with the IAVM process
