Job Description

Job Title: Product Manager
Location: Remote (U.S.-based only)
Clearance Required: Active Secret
Employment Type: Part-Time, 6-Month Engagement (starting ~August 1, 2025)
Salary: Hourly Rate for Part-Time position
About the Role

Metronome is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead delivery for a high-impact prototype OTA project supporting the Air Force's Platform One (P1). This 6-month engagement (with potential for extension) is part of a competitive flyoff between vendors. The selected Product Manager will help drive the development of our solution-Fractive-which, if successful, could transition to a long-term production OTA. This role is remote, requires a Secret clearance, and centers around modern Agile delivery, strong technical customer collaboration, and iterative R&D. As P1 will fund the R&D phase under the prototype OTA, this is a fast-paced, innovation-first opportunity to directly influence DoD software modernization.

Why This Role Is Unique
Prototype-to-Production Opportunity: You'll lead Fractive's product delivery through a prototype OTA flyoff, with direct implications on a future long-term contract.
Clear DoD Impact: Fractive is already "awardable" in the Big Bang Marketplace, meaning your work may support multiple DoD agencies beyond this contract.
High Visibility, High Autonomy: Collaborate with elite technical teams while owning outcomes in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities

Lead product lifecycle for a complex, Agile software program aligned to DoD needs

Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and customer teams to define and deliver the roadmap

Coordinate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Scrum ceremonies

Translate stakeholder input into user stories, features, and strategic deliverables

Ensure scope, timelines, and quality targets are met across multiple workstreams

Own functional requirements and end-to-end execution of the software delivery

Serve as a liaison between technical teams and DoD customers, ensuring clear communication

Contribute to hiring, team growth, and fostering a high-performance culture

Support test events and operational handoffs as part of the PoP

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Product or Project Management
  • 3+ years working within DevSecOps projects
  • Strong experience managing non-waterfall, Agile-driven teams
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders and managing shifting priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
