Description

Join Our Mission as a Targeting Analyst!

At Leidos, national security isn’t just a duty—it’s a calling. As a Mid-level Targeting Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of shaping critical defense strategies, providing essential analytical support to a Combatant Command (CCMD) and the Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC). Your insights will drive key decisions, ensuring precision in both lethal and non-lethal engagements.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Strategic Targeting: Dive deep into targeting analysis while adhering to DoD policies, CJCS Manuals/Instructions, and USCENTCOM standards. Your analytical expertise will be crucial in developing, refining, and managing targets.
  • Comprehensive Analysis: Conduct all-source intelligence research to produce detailed target development—from the basics to advanced engagements. Your work will include collateral damage incident research, precise Collateral Damage Estimations (CDE), and the generation of impactful graphics.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Craft insightful assessments and database-relevant remarks for Electronic Target Folders (ETFs). Your clear, compelling reports and visual presentations will empower senior decision-makers with actionable intelligence.
  • Policy and Process Expertise: Play a crucial role in shaping targeting policies by providing recommendations for target prioritization, assisting in Target System Analysis (TSA), and offering SME support during training events. Your contributions will help evolve DoD and USCENTCOM practices.
  • Operational Coordination: Manage and update target databases—from nominations to deletions—ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency. Prepare and deliver briefings for key groups like the Joint Target Working Group, emphasizing your role as a trusted advisor in the targeting process.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Security Credentials: TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility is essential, along with U.S. Citizenship as a mark of trust and commitment.
  • Experience and Education: A Bachelor’s Degree paired with 8 years of relevant experience (with recent exposure in the last 2 years) sets the foundation for your expertise. You should be well-versed in DoD and CJCS targeting policies, procedures, and databases, with hands-on experience in target development and CDE.
  • Preferred Expertise: If you bring CCMD targeting experience, you’ll have a distinct advantage in this dynamic role.

At Leidos, your role as a Targeting Analyst isn’t just a job—it’s a front-line engagement in safeguarding our nation. Your analytical prowess, strategic insights, and dedication to precision will have a lasting impact on defense operations.

Are you ready to step into a role where every analysis, every report, and every decision sets the stage for national security excellence? Join us and turn intelligence into action, making your mark on a safer world.
