Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join a Federal Program . The Associate Electrical Engineer will work closely with senior engineers to design and test harnesses for satellites and associated ground support equipment.

Responsibilities of the Associate Electrical Engineer include:

· Partner with engineering teams to design, evaluate, and support the integration of electrical harness systems. Responsibilities include generating detailed schematics, selecting suitable wiring, connectors, backshells, and other components, while ensuring alignment with internal and industry standards.

· Develop and implement test plans to validate the functionality, durability, and performance of electrical harnesses. Participate in rigorous testing and validation processes, interpret test results, and resolve any issues to meet design and specification requirements.

· Produce and maintain thorough technical documentation such as interface control documents, system schematics, block diagrams, harness layouts, and installation guides. Ensure documentation is accurate and contributes to organizational knowledge sharing.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including power systems, RF, command and data handling, and other spacecraft subsystems—to ensure cohesive integration of electrical components.

Qualifications for the Associate Electrical Engineer include:

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

· 0-2 years of hands-on project experience.

· Basic understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and schematic capture tools.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying technical information.

· Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills for working in multidisciplinary environments.

· Solid analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a problem-solving mindset.

· Ability to think critically, offer innovative solutions, and adapt to changing project needs.

· High attention to detail to ensure precision in documentation, wiring layouts, and compliance with standards.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

· Preferred Qualifications:

o Knowledge of harness design fundamentals, including cable routing, shielding, and EMI/EMC considerations.

o Experience using CAD tools for harness design (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, Mentor Graphics).

o Exposure to electrical simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).

o Hands-on experience in electrical harness design through internships, co-ops, or academic projects, particularly in aerospace applications.

Compensation for the Associate Electrical Engineer includes:

· Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
