Phoenix is seeking qualified instructors for the Warrant Officer Career College at Fort Rucker, AL. Candidates must have a Favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI).
Instructors must provide training to warrant officers following the approved Programs of Instruction and teach the contents of each lesson plan subject. Instructors shall make modifications to the POIs per approved regulations to adapt material to the needs of the class. The instructor shall ensure the total time, training devices used, and topics are in accordance with approved POIs and lesson plans.
The instructor conducts training on subjects covering all the components of US military history that relates to current military operational concepts. Instructors all teach strategic level policy and strategy and operational constructs, current Army doctrine and how the Army employs combined arms capabilities as part of a unified action. Additional topics include mission command, well-rounded study of leadership and management education including theory, communication and management system concepts.
Candidates must have a minimum of a four-year degree (history degree preferred) from an accredited college or university, and the Project Management Program (PMP) certification (PMP can be waivered). Their military education must include a minimum of WOSSE, Command and General Staff College, Intermediate Level Education, or equivalent education or experience.
Candidates must have one of the Foundational Instructor Training Course: Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course (CFD-IC), a foundational instructor training course such as the Foundation Instructor/Facilitator Course (FIFC) or its predecessors or replacement is required; the Small Group Instructor Course (SGIC) or Faculty Development Program Level 1 (FDP-1) Course or their predecessor or replacement courses may substitute for the foundational instructor training course.
Preferred candidates will have one or more of the following certifications: Knowledge Management (KM), Master Resilience Trainer (MRT), Sexual Harassment/Assault Program (SHARP), Victims Advocate (VA), Military History Instructor Course (MHIC).
Instructors will be required to complete the USAWOCC Instructor Certification Program within ninety days from start of employment.
