Job Description:

We are seeking a mission-driven Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to help lead a large-scale Navy contract. This role will provide day-to-day oversight of a large team providing support to the Navy. The DPM will serve as a trusted advisor and right hand to the Program Manager, ensuring that all program deliverables are met with precision, timeliness, and within scope.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience supporting Navy or DoD service contracts, a proven track record in project or team leadership roles, and the ability to engage confidently with both internal teams and senior government stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to help drive operational excellence and strategic alignment within a high-impact Navy support environment.

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, MBA, or other technical field desired
  • PMP or CAPM certification desired
  • 12 or more years of relevant experience in leadership roles such as Project Manager, Team Lead, or Deputy PM
  • Support large-scale Navy or DoD Service Contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering executive-level briefings
  • Experience working in a program office or PEO at a Navy Command

Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Experience using DoD program management tools and systems

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Program Manager in overseeing contract execution, including cost, schedule, performance and quality metrics
  • Act as the primary backup to the Program Manager, providing operational oversight and coordination across cross-functional teams
  • Serve as a key liaison with government stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal functional leads to ensure delivery of expectations are met or exceeded
  • Support the development of reports, briefings, and contract deliverables
  • Monitor technical and administrative progress or propose solutions to maintain project momentum
  • Assist in managing staffing plans, task order execution, and compliance with contract requirements

Salary Range

$110,000 - $112,000 USD
