Job Description
Join a dynamic engineering team engaged in supporting RF Electronic Warfare systems (EW) for the U2 Aircraft at the Main Operating Base (MOB) in California. This Field Engineering role provides on-aircraft technical support and back-shop maintenance to ensure that jets are ready for rapid deployment in response to global needs.
RF EW offers an interesting and infinitely challenging career opportunity with the potential to enhance technically and to elevate into engineering design and leadership roles. The team environment provides excellent learning opportunities ranging from EW concepts to sophisticated diagnostic tools. This person will interface directly with subject matter experts in various hardware and software domains and will be afforded opportunities to gain deep knowledge in these areas. This person will also work cooperatively with military personnel to assess missions, diagnose failures, facilitate repairs, and upgrade the product.
The role is primarily home based at the MOB but will include occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel for 1-3 week durations. This person will work with 3-5 person teams that evaluate, maintain, and upgrade RF EW systems and associated test equipment.

Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Successful candidate must possess Organizational Level experience which includes:
- Working around aircraft, reading schematics/diagrams, and using technical manuals.
- Exhibiting logical approaches to diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- A strong knowledge of power generation and distribution systems.
- Experience with RADAR or EW or similar RF systems.
- Troubleshooting transmission lines and antennas.
- Proficiency with lab test equipment (O-Scope, Analyzer, Generator, TDR, etc.) and familiarity with automated test equipment.
- Working cooperatively with peers, leads, and customers to resolve problems.
- Travel flexibility (CONUS / OCONUS) is required.
- Supporting additional U2 Program requirements as directed by the program.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- 2-4 years RF EW experience
- Avionics background
- Electronics Maintenance and Troubleshooting knowledge
- Hardware and Software systems integration and troubleshooting
- Excellent Customer Communication skills
- US Passport or qualified to obtain passport
