NAVSOF Operations and Planning Analyst/Trainer

This is a NAVSOF Ops and Planning Analyst position on the USSOCOM Enterprise Wide Training and Education Program (UEWTEP) contract at NAB Little Creek, VA.

Will consider a former CWO3 or 4, or an E7 or E8 (Senior Chief) with at least ten years of experience.

Components of USSOCOM have the responsibility to execute large-scale training exercises designed to enhance readiness and prepare SOF units for deployment. This position supports the TRIDENT series of exercises under the NSWC N34 with duties at Naval Special Warfare Group (NSWG) Two at Little Creek.

Desired Qualifications and Expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years experience in SOF, or Associate's degree with 15 years experience working in SOF, or prior (E8-E9, CW4-CW5, O4-O6)
  • Minimum 10 years of operational-strategic special operations experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent experience serving in a command, senior enlisted advisor, or primary staff billet in a SOF (USSOCOM/TSOC), Service, Joint Staff, OSD, or 3-4 Star level Service/GCC HQs within the past 8 years
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with the Joint Training System (joint exercise planning management)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in joint operations and operational-strategic level SOF planning and operations
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in the Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX) and Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Operational Design preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience directly interfacing with senior staff (O5/O6 and GOFO) at the TSOCs, Components, GCCs, Services, Interagency
  • Excellent presentation, communication and organization skills
  • Preferred 2 years experience as a platform instructor in a Professional Military Education/training environment

Security Clearance A level of government security clearance is required for this position with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal.
