SMX is seeking a skilled Windows System Administrator to support a small RDT&E lab environment, managing all end-user devices and servers. The ideal candidate will work directly with the ISSO and cybersecurity team to maintain secure, compliant operations.: system administration, patching, vulnerability scanning, account management, and documentation support.
Duties include but not limited to system administration, patching, vulnerability scanning, account management, and documentation support.
This position requires a DoD secret security clearance with top secret eligibility. Us citizenship required for work on DoD contracts.

$87,500 - $145,900 USD

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Windows system administration (group policy, patching, break/fix, log review)
- Account management (SAAR-N validation, user provisioning)
- Vulnerability scanning & mitigation (STIGs, ACAS, Eval-STIG)
- Support ISSO with policy documentation, POA&M updates PKI token issuance & management
- Cybersecurity testing & compliance support (hands-on testing, answering environment questions)
Required Skills/Experience
- Active Secret Clearance (TS Eligibility)
- DOD 8570 Level II Compliant Certification
- 2+ years of Windows system administration experience
- Experience with DoD cybersecurity compliance (STIGs, vulnerability management)
- Willing/able to work on-site full-time at Pax River
Desired Skills/Experience
- Experience with the following Tools / Systems: NHDSM, DADMS, eMASS, eMASSter, Eval-STIG, VRAM, IBM QRadar, 365-SEC
