Overview

The Agility Automation Engineer provides support to the Lead Engineer for a major cloud-

based ERP system. The Agility Automation Engineer performs engineering and

management of the portfolio requirements, including experience with SAFe Agile, Jira Administration and Automation. They work with Jira and Confluence Product Owners, User Communities,

System Integrator Contractor, and Government Stakeholders to manage the changes required to support Jira and Confluence for ERP.

Responsibilities

Perform the engineering and management of the portfolio requirements,

including the Capability Production Document (CPD), System Specification,

Functional Requirements Design Specification (FRDS), Technical Functional

Script (TFS), and other technical specification documents.
  • Work with product owners, user communities, system integrator contractor, and government stakeholders to manage the changes and additions to the Navy ERP Jira and Confluence .
  • Setting up boards and filters in Jira
  • Maintaining user permissions and access control in Jira and Confluence
  • Creating customer workflow automation
  • Creating custom metrics or charts with scripts
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira Automation
  • Setting up dynamic Confluence dashboards with information from Jira
  • Configure and administration of Plugins: Agile Hive
  • Coordinate training and mentoring experience for Jira, Confluence, and Gile Hive
  • Create and Maintain Jira, Confluence self-paced training materials in Confluence
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework and working on an agile team
  • Familiarity with Agile Hive setup and administration
  • Familiarity with Tasktop Hub model creation
  • Participate with the Government program engineering teams during Systems Engineering (SE) Working Integrated Project Team (WIPT) and Working Group meetings and generate meeting minutes as required.
  • Assist the Lead Engineer in preparing for reviews, presentations, and assessments.
  • Track and manage action items to meet deadlines and project goals.
  • Review program, project, or initiative documentation for technical compliance with appropriate compliance action lists, policy, requirements, standards, and processes
  • Identify and evaluate program technical risks generated by requirements updates, additions, etc.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria aligned with agile methodologies.
  • Prepare well-written, detailed systems engineering documentation including analyses, white papers, presentations, etc
  • Maintain artifacts in tools like Jama Connect, Jira and assist in workflow development/implementation
  • Familiarity with Agile development frameworks (SAFe, Scrum/Kanban) and requirements repository tools/integration

Experience Requirements
  • The candidate MUST have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.
  • Must be capable of performing effectively individually and as part of a team.
  • Must have effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to successfully deliver with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Po werPoint, and Outlook

Must be proficient in the following Atlassian Products - Jama Connect (RM Software Platform), Jira(Project Tracking Tool) and Confluence(Team Collaboration Platform) Application

Must be proficient in Cameo Model-Based System Engineering.

Must have Experience with Confluence and Jira Administration and Automation

Must have the ability to set up dynamic Confluence dashboards with information from Jira

Must be able to Configure and administration of Plugins: Agile Hive

Must be able to Coordinate training and mentoring experience for Jira, Confluence, and Gile Hive

Must have to ability to Create and Maintain Jira, Confluence self-paced training materials in Confluence

Must be Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework and working on an agile team

Must be Familiar with Agile Hive setup and administration

Must be Familiar with Tasktop Hub model creation

Must be able to manage time and be on time to meetings.

Limited to no travel is anticipated.

May be asked to perform duties on-site, at the Washington Navy Yard (Post

COVID) when required.

Desired:

Experience with Agile Hive Administration

Participated in technical setup of Agile Hive in Jira (porting tickets, scripting)

Scaled Agile certification or experience

Experience providing training on Atlassian tools suite
