Position Summary:
Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Multi-Disciplinary Engineer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, under the IRES contract.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will:
- Deploy, configure, and support customer laptop, desktop, and mobile device systems.
- Provide on-site and remote technical troubleshooting for systems, printers, VOIP, and software applications.
- Support enterprise networking and infrastructure projects.
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot COMSEC equipment and function as the local COMSEC Hand-Receipt Holder.
- Provide IPTV and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) support.
- Track all tasks using the Remedy ticketing system.
- Support mission and test events onsite and occasionally travel to remote locations for extended durations (30-90 days).
- Perform Trusted Agent duties and provide escort services for contractors and event visitors as needed.
- Deliver situational awareness updates to management and government stakeholders.
- Promote a positive work environment and mentor junior team members.
- Demonstrate strong time management, problem-solving, and adaptability under pressure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience
- Associate's degree and 8 years of general experience
- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of general experience
- Master's degree and 4 years of general experience
- Must have at least 6 years of direct experience in providing IT solutions
- Experience working in a customer-facing support role
- DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Security clearance
- ITILv3 Foundations certification
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- Cisco CCNA certification
- CISSP certification
- Microsoft certification
Compensation:
