Position Summary:
Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Jr. SolarWinds Application Engineer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, under the IRES contract.

Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will:

• Support, maintain, and manage all aspects of SolarWinds, Data Center Expert StruxureWare, server, and temperature monitoring applications.
• Communicate mission requirements effectively with the MDA Enterprise Monitoring team and execute directives related to event monitoring and infrastructure surveillance.
• Ensure SolarWinds and related platforms are fully operational to enable rapid detection and resolution of network and system performance issues.
• Provide support for system monitoring, cybersecurity efforts, and test event readiness.
• Maintain the Orion Web Console and SolarWinds Orion database, deploying the platform across geographically distributed regions.
• Serve as a technical SME for network/system monitoring and service delivery of MDA-delivered capabilities.
• Coordinate with internal/external engineering and support teams to define requirements and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Perform administrative tasks in Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM), SolarWinds, and Netscout.
• Support application security, apply patches, and create management packs and monitoring policies.
• Provide training, develop SOPs, maintain technical documentation, and transfer operational knowledge to team members.
• Support mission/test events on-site and perform on-call rotations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
• HS Diploma (or GED) and 6 years of general experience
• Associate's degree and 4 years of general experience
• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of general experience
• Master's degree and 0 years of general experience
• Must have at least 4 years of IT experience in an engineering field
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field
• Familiarity with MDA programs and mission environments
• Experience with SolarWinds and Data Center Expert StruxureWare installation and administration
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server), server virtualization, and LAN/WAN networking
• Experience working in a global enterprise environment and using Remedy ticketing systems
• Understanding of networking protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, SSH, and SNMP

Compensation:
Salary Range: $71,700.00 - $96,700.00 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
