Security Analyst

THE POSITION
The Security Analyst is responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing security measures across the enterprise. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems by implementing and maintaining robust security practices and technologies. Key areas of concentration include account and access management, vulnerability assessments, virus protection, intrusion detection, and compliance monitoring.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee enterprise-wide security practices, including account management, password auditing, and vulnerability scanning for both network and web applications.
• Utilize systems administration and security tools to detect, mitigate, and report potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of comprehensive security policies and procedures, such as log-on authentication, breach escalation, auditing, and use of encryption and firewalls.
• Administer and monitor user security profiles, investigate security exceptions, and maintain documentation of all security controls and configurations.
• Prepare security status reports, conduct risk analyses, and assist in defining response procedures for potential security incidents.
• Evaluate security products and procedures to recommend improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide direct technical support to business and IT teams regarding security-related concerns.
• Deliver user education and awareness training on systems security standards and best practices.
• Maintain broad and current technical knowledge of network operating systems and emerging security technologies.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• This position requires 100% on-site in Montgomery AL.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments.
• Knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms
