Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator to support a mission-critical federal program based in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux system administration, a strong understanding of security and performance optimization, and a commitment to maintaining high availability in a secure government environment.

Responsibilities of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator:
- Manage and support RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance.
- Perform system administration tasks for RHEL 7.x/8.x environments, ensuring stability and performance.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Execute system backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and high availability.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools such as Tenable and HP WebInspect, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, applying proactive and reactive security measures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Recommend hardware and software solutions to meet evolving business and technical needs.
Qualifications of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator:
- 7+ years of experience as a Linux or Red Hat system administrator.
- Strong background in RHEL system management, performance tuning, and security hardening.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and incident response.
- Active Secret Clearance and eligibility for DHS Suitability.
- Must be able to work on-site five days per week in Colorado Springs, CO.
- Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency support.
Compensation for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator:
- Salary: $120,000-$135,000/year flexible based on experience
