Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Manager Manufacturing Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Clearfield, Utah where technology and teamwork come together. The role is based out of our ACCE facility with a focus on supporting our commercial programs.
This leader will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering organization working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive attitude.

Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 5-15 Manufacturing Engineers for the creation of manufacturing bill of materials, manufacturing processes and procedures, and production layouts
- Ensure hiring plans, staff development, and workload plans are aligned to overall capability and strategy. Manage team budgets, schedules, and resources to effectively meet business goals
- Set and promote high standards for safety and quality. Maintain selected engineering processes and drive technical excellence by ensuring team output meets technical standards
- Create new and modify existing manufacturing instructions with necessary operations to support build sequence, while also including specifications/quality requirements and maintaining a bill of material (BOM)
- Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and develop those techniques
- Provide mentorship to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
- Ensure processes and procedures are compliant with regulations and engineering specifications
- Drive the team to support the production floor in a liaison role. These activities include answering assist calls from technicians, processing of MRB tags, performing root cause corrective action, and be responsive to keep production moving
- Be a technical liaison and support to other functions within the programs and an integral member of the ME homeroom

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of manufacturing engineering or related experience; OR a Master's Degree and 3 years of manufacturing engineering or related experience
- 2 years of experience in a role leading direct reports or managing projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business
- Experience with composite manufacturing processes
- Understanding of MRB and root cause analysis and corrective action
- Ability to work on the manufacturing floor
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to individual contributors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) discipline
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior experience operating in a dynamic environment of increasing production schedules and high delivery rates
- Siemens NX, CATIA, SAP, and Solumina experience
- Lean Manufacturing experience
