Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in either Everett or Tukwila, Washington.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads a team of hourly Materials Management Specialists, marshal resources across the Supply Chain to include salaried Supply Chain Management Analysts
  • Partners with Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Supply Chain Fulfillment, MSC&O Transportation Warehousing & Logistics, and GXO Logistics in a fast pace high energy environment while leading an Injury & Incident Free team culture that also maintains compliance to FAR/DFAR contracted business systems audited by the DCAA/DCMA with additional SOx controls
  • Manages and integrates employee activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes; leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of functional approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • More than 1 year of experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing
  • More than 1 year of experience leading teams and team development


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Experience in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and/or a union-represented workforce
  • Experience using Incident Injury Free concepts or Behavior Base Safety concepts
  • Experience and/or training on FAR and DFARS compliance


Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $107,950 - $133,350
