Description:o Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Design Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX. In this role, you will support research and development of Mechanical parts and large/complex assemblies, work under general direction, and support development of approaches and solutions. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of technical principles, theories and concepts in Mechanical Engineering, and general knowledge of other related disciplines. Lockheed Martin delivers Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) solutions for a variety of customers. We desire a highly motivated design engineer to design, integrate, and test UAS components and systems as part of rapid prototyping and fielding programs and R&D projects.
Basic Qualifications:
o Minimum of a bachelor degree from an accredited college in Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline.
o Mechanical design or integration experience.
o Experience with UAS design or hands-on testing.
o Basic understanding of structures, materials, and electronics.
o Basic understanding of robotic control systems.
o Experience with engineering CAD tools (Creo, NX, Solid Works, I-DEAS, etc.) and model based product definition.
o Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
o Mechanical design experience performing conceptual and detailed CAD modeling in CREO or SolidWorks.
o Experience with 3D Printing or other rapid prototyping.
o Experience with design for manufacturability, or manufacturing, or manufacturing processes.
o Electronic or power system design or integration experience.
o Experience working or leading small teams.
o Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
