Job Brief
We are looking for a TS/SCI cleared (with full scope poly) Senior Research Engineer with a strong understanding of sensor fusion and state estimation techniques
This position focuses on developing and refining advanced algorithms for object tracking, state estimation, and multi-source sensor fusion. You'll drive innovation in how data is interpreted and acted on from diverse sensor modalities to defend critical infrastructure and national interests.
The ideal candidate will have experience with state estimation and object propagation techniques, remote sensing, real time messaging and programming languages, such as C++, or Python. Candidates with an OPIR background are a bonus!
You will support a large R&D program that is focused on providing advanced intelligence capabilities for the benefit of the DoD and IC communities. You will be part of a very high-visibility project on a mid-sized team where you will introduce innovative target estimation techniques, AI/ML methodologies and algorithm optimization improvements to make a real-world impact on National Security.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement estimation models for dynamic objects using real-time and historical sensor inputs
- Engineer robust data pipelines leveraging real-time messaging architectures to ingest and process remote sensing data
- Develop algorithms for tracking and propagation using techniques such as Kalman filters and their variants
- Apply cutting-edge AI/ML methodologies to enhance system performance and detection accuracy
- Contribute to the advancement of next-gen analytics platforms for missile warning, missile defense, and related mission areas
- Communicate technical findings to a variety of audiences through presentations, whitepapers, and stakeholder briefings
- Support sensor collection strategies and improve operational workflows through technical intelligence
Required Skills
- Epertise in state estimation and object propagation techniques
- Strong familiarity with real-time messaging frameworks
- Solid grounding in remote sensing phenomenology and multi-sensor data fusion
- Understanding of advanced missiles or hypersonic threat models
- Programming fluency in Python or C++, with emphasis on high-performance computing and numerical stability
- TS/SCI clearance with a full scope polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Desired/Bonus Skills
- Master's degree in a technical field with a focus on estimation theory or signal processing
- Experience with advanced AI/ML frameworks and real-time model deployment
- Familiarity with multitarget tracking systems and sensor management techniques
- Proficiency with Kalman filter families, including UKF, EKF, and IMM implementations
- History of publication or conference presentation in the areas of sensing, estimation, or defense analytics
