One Federal Solution is seeking a Compliance Analyst – Level IV to support the Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). This position provides high-level compliance support related to the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), including complex investigations, regulatory interpretation, and interagency coordination.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of post-high school education and over seven (7) years of experience in ITAR compliance or AECA/ITAR enforcement
Strong written and verbal communication skills; writing samples may be requested
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work effectively under pressure and within rigid deadlines
Experience interacting with personnel at all levels, including senior government officials and law enforcement
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment
Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret or TS/SCI
Key Responsibilities:
Advise senior management and law enforcement on foreign policy and national security implications of compliance investigations
Manage the registration process for exporters, manufacturers, and brokers under Parts 122 and 129 of the ITAR
Oversee administrative compliance cases, including enforcement procedures and preparation of consent agreements
Interpret and apply legislative and regulatory material related to export control compliance
Identify and analyze trends in export activities, including registration, brokering, manufacturing, and retransfer
Propose revisions to legal authorities to improve clarity and effectiveness of compliance regulations
Coordinate with interagency partners and law enforcement on compliance-related investigations
Contribute to internal planning, performance tracking, and management reporting
Assist in designing and implementing internal office policies and procedures related to compliance and registration
Provide support to hearings, investigations, and outreach efforts as needed
Responsibilities:
The contractor does not perform inherently governmental functions
All work products and assignments are subject to review and approval by government supervisory staff
Must comply with all State Department and Procurement Information Bulletins (PIBs) related to contractor services
