Opportunity:
Virtual Service Operations is seeking a motivated Junior Systems or Network Support Specialist to assist with a combination of engineering, operations, and client-facing support tasks in both Microsoft-based and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will support infrastructure deployments, network troubleshooting, Azure operations, and administrative account management.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft & Engineering Tasks:
• Assist in the development and maintenance of network and systems architecture diagrams.
• Support deployment of new system capabilities and tools in both local and remote environments.
• Conduct routine system operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks including patching, updates, and system health checks.
• Troubleshoot network issues across both local and remote sites in coordination with senior engineers.
Azure & Cloud Support:
• Implement and enforce Azure best practices under the guidance of senior cloud architects.
• Assist in troubleshooting between on-premise physical hardware and Azure virtual resources.
• Track and report on system and service status updates to stakeholders.
Hardware & Site Operations:
• Coordinate and execute client hardware installations and relocations, including AAP and Hyperscale assets.
• Perform account management tasks such as creating user accounts, resetting passwords, and completing related documentation.
Collaboration & Communication:
• Provide general support to Systems Integrator (SI) teams with stakeholder coordination and resolution of ownership disputes.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and informal training sessions to improve team Azure competency and platform adoption.
Required Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Basic understanding of network fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP) and Microsoft environments.
• Exposure to Azure environments, cloud principles, or a desire to grow into cloud administration.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly in both technical and non-technical contexts.
• Must be able to occasionally lift/move hardware and travel to other local sites.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Portal, or basic PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Visio or similar tools for diagramming.
• CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification (AZ-900) is a plus.

Requirements
- Must be within driving distance of Edwards, CA OR willing to relocate there (Relocation Assistance Package Available)
- Must be willing to work onsite (This role may include the need to work outside of core hours on high priority investigations and may also include on-call responsibilities)
- Must be willing and able to travel frequently
- Must possess an active TS/ SCI clearance or above
- Must possess an active DOD 8570 IAT Level II or greater
