Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Solutions Architect to join our team! In this role, you will be a part of the development of advanced systems, focusing on full life-cycle software design, implementation, optimization, and deployment. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop scalable, high-performance software solutions supporting mission-critical applications.
This position allows for a hybrid schedule but requires candidates to be local to the MD or Northern VA/DC Metro area.

Salary Range: $144,800.00 - $260,600.00

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Solutions Architect to join our team! What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide key contributions to system design and integrations with other teams in the solution space.
- Enhance existing architecture to improve system responsiveness, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with developers, system architects, and other stakeholders.
- Advise microservices-based architectures using containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Evaluate robust authentication, authorization, and security in systems best practices.
- Contribute to project documentation.
- Lead and mentor software engineers through architecture designs, resilient software solutions, and verified deliverables.
- Utilize Agile/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies for efficient software development.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field from an accredited institution with 1 0+ years of related professional experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering large scale software solutions for government or commercial customers
- Expertise in containerized application development and management, preferably with a strong familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and fellow professionals in technical discussions
- Ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Background or experience in cybersecurity, with an understanding of cybersecurity best practices, encryption, and secure coding techniques
- Experience deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications, as well as troubleshooting and optimizing workloads within a cluster
- Experience with message queuing technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS)
- Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe development environments
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a lead , as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
