SCCM Administrator

Location: Fort Lee, Virginia

Clearance: Secret

Description:

HigherEchelon is seeking an SCCM Administrator responsible for the lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, and servers across the CASCOM G6 environment through Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). This role supports enterprise-wide patching, imaging, application deployment, and ensures compliance with DoD security baselines. The position is located at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA, and requires a full-time, on-site presence with an active DoD Secret clearance.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain SCCM infrastructure, handling patch deployment, software packaging, and OS imaging.

Coordinate deployment schedules with Government stakeholders to minimize operational disruptions.

Create and maintain gold images for classroom and staff workstations.

Track compliance with Army and DISA STIG patching requirements; generate compliance and audit reports.

Deploy and update standard applications and agent software across the enterprise.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot deployment failures, and remediate endpoint errors.

Collaborate with Systems Admins and IT Support teams to coordinate fielding of updates and imaging refresh cycles.

Maintain documentation for processes, image versions, application baselines, and rollback procedures.

Work closely with cybersecurity to support RMF audits and IAVA mitigation through SCCM-based deployments.

Required Skills:

Proven expertise with task sequences, WSUS integration, application catalog management, and remote tools.

Familiarity with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Active Directory, and Group Policy for client configuration.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

Prior experience supporting TRADOC or Army enterprise desktop environments.

Familiarity with HBSS, Tanium, or other endpoint compliance tools.

Knowledge of DoD STIGs, RMF documentation, and patch compliance reporting.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

5+ years of hands-on SCCM administration in enterprise or federal environments.

Certifications required:
  • CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II baseline; current)
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (or equivalent SCCM-focused certification).
