Senior Cloud Engineer
The Senior Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and manage enterprise level AWS solutions for U.S. Army and federal clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS products, hands-on experience in building and managing secure cloud architectures, and a strong background in navigating complex security and compliance environments. This position requires a proven leader who can work independently and within cross functional teams to enable enterprise data management platforms and support mission critical projects.
AWS Cloud Architecture and Administration: Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud architectures, including parent and child accounts within an IL6 (Impact Level 6) or similarly secure environment. Perform hands-on administration, monitoring, and optimization of AWS accounts and resources. Propose, evaluate, and implement creative AWS architecture solutions tailored to client needs.
Security and Compliance: Collaborate with IT security teams to implement, monitor, and document security controls in alignment with FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD security standards. Develop and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation, ensuring compliance with all federal and DoD requirements.
Technical Leadership and Team Collaboration: Lead efforts to establish and maintain AWS best practices, governance, and operational standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on AWS capabilities and architecture strategies. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure successful integration of AWS solutions into enterprise systems.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest AWS products, services, and industry trends to propose innovative solutions for mission critical systems.
Evaluate and recommend new AWS tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and security.
Operational Support: Support DoD's Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) intranet as required. Provide ongoing operational support for AWS cloud environments, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.

Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering within a DoD environment.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (or higher, such as Professional) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Current and active Secret security clearance.
- Location flexible with preference to Ft. Eustis, Fort Belvoir or Fort Gregg-Adams
