Position for a VTC Facilitator / Technician to work on a project for our DoD customer on Joint Base Charleston. The successful candidate must possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
The required skill set includes two (2) years of experience to include operating, high level configuration and set up of video teleconferencing equipment to include: powering up teleconferencing equipment; checking equipment for proper operation; setting audio levels; positioning camera functions; performing secure or non-secure setup; operate or assist in operating session control panel; studio control unit; and high-resolution graphics. Additional technical capability requirements include, the ability to load AMX software and configure the AMX control systems. Job tasks require this technician to provide assistance to users in conducting video teleconference sessions, which may include conference preparation, and monitoring VTC equipment and system performance. Additional job tasks include, reporting equipment and network problems to appropriate parties for maintenance or repair. Supplementary responsibilities include: the operation of briefing computers; projectors or other audiovisual equipment in conjunction with video teleconferencing services; scheduling video teleconferencing sessions; training personnel in operation of video teleconferencing equipment and other audiovisual equipment associated with video teleconferencing services. Also, required is the ability to manage metrics and other logistics associated to the VTC call volumes. It will be the responsibility of this Technician to maintain a database containing the inventory, location and status of all AV and VTC equipment present within the conference room suites contained within the Navy’s relevant facilities.
Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience in a VTC and Audio Visual technical capacity.
Currently possess a Secret Security Clearance.
Education:
High School diploma or GED. Some formal training that includes familiarization with commercial AV and VTC equipment.
