Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Test Engineering Mgr 2 - Field Services to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization supporting MQ-4C Triton program operational and test activities. This leadership role is located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.
The selected candidate will be the primary interface between the US Navy and Northrop Grumman AV STEs, responsible engineers, and network engineers.

The Selected Candidate must be willing to work any shift depending on the business needs: 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) 1st shift; 4x10 (Mon-Thurs) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule Fri, Sat, Sun) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sat, Sun) 1st shift.

Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Primary Responsibilities include and not limited to:
- Interface with OCONUS Triton Site Leads on FSR Training & Deployment Schedules
- Lead an AV STE team, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and oral format
- Ensure all issues, tasks, and workload are communicated to Test and Engineering leadership.
- Plan, generate, review, and execute work instructions for aircraft maintenance
- Provide inputs to update Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
- Review and provide inputs during engineering development and execution of Detailed Test Requirements, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Ground Test Plans, and Technical Directives
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures, as needed
- Author executable workforce & staffing plans in collaboration with the Enterprise Integrated Product Team and Functional Homeroom (FHR)
- Oversee a variety of Organizational / Depot-level maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
- Work under minimal direction to independently determine and develop approach to solutions
- Responsible for field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of AV systems at customer locations.
- The selected candidate will have a team of up to 19 direct reports and will require functional leadership and management of employees

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant engineering experience; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD
- Must be willing to work any shift per the business needs
- Must have prior management or Leadership experience
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into continuous evaluation) with ability to obtain and maintain active Top Secret (TS) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and polygraph clearances within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience in Unmanned AV system test and maintenance
- Experience with US Navy Maintenance environment and OOMA (Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity)
- Familiarity with the Test Variance process to document and adjudicate test process variances
- Knowledgeable in Triton Engineering Design and vehicle Software operation
- Proficiency in use of VTC/PTC
- Experience in the performance or support of Engineering reviews, to include analysis of engineering schematics, supplier design data, support of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification
