WHAT WE'RE DOING
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Owego, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for split responsibilities between 3D printing and library model creation, with a focus on supporting the engineering team and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality models.
THE WORK
Key Responsibilities include:
3D Printing:
+ Manage and maintain 4 3D printers within the RMS Owego Engineering facility
+ Collaborate with engineers to select the correct 3D printing material and capacity to meet customer requirements
+ Perform daily tasks such as material changes, machine setup, and cleaning of parts and work areas
+ Estimate time required to complete prints and schedule maintenance on 3D printers
* Library Model Creation:
+ Create and manage Creo Library models and Zuken E3 library models across RMS
+ Interact with representatives from Drafting, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, and production facilities
+ Ensure models are created in a timely manner and meet established standards
* Additional Responsibilities:
+ Material ordering and vendor interactions
+ Facility interactions and chemical storage management
+ Color dyeing of parts and working with mechanical engineers

* Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Support 3D printing capabilities.
• Proficient with Creo
• Proficient with Zuken E3
• Experience with Library component part creation checking and release
• Must have ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
-Experience with 3D printers and printing process
-Experience working with suppliers or vendors
-Proficient checking ASME Y14.100
-Product Data Management (Windchill).
-Experience with component library part creation
-Control Account Manager (CAM) or Work Package Manager (WPM) trained/certified.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
