Amentum is seeking an experienced Hazards and Risk Analyst to support the Emergency Services Program in our Aiken, SC office. The Hazards and Risk Analyst provides support to clients in the development of technical reports evaluating a wide spectrum of emergency conditions and hazardous materials. In addition, the incumbent will contribute to the growth and expansion of the Emergency Services Program.
The Amentum Emergency Services Program provides support to clients across the country to further the unique needs of their emergency management programs through the development of reports and plans, and the provision of training, drills, and exercises.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop technical reports and plans designed to identify hazards, vulnerabilities, and consequences, in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Design complex emergency scenarios to support drills and exercises.
• Forge strong partnerships with our clients to support their immediate and long-term needs.
• Support the development of Emergency Services programmatic documents and standards.
• Provide solutions to complex issues/problems using in-depth analytical processes and technically sound strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline from a four-year accredited college or university.
• 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of years of work experience and education.
• Demonstrable experience in one or more risk or hazards analysis techniques.
• Candidate must be eligible to obtain a DOE Q clearance and access to Commercial Nuclear Facilities.
• Candidate must be able to travel on business as needed.
• Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Willingness to learn new subject areas and be flexible in assignments.
• Ability to perform as part of a team.
• Creative problem solver.
• Ability to meet challenging deadlines.
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with hazardous material consequence evaluations.
• Experience with Threats and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) development.
• Experience with Hazard Mitigation Plan development.
• Experience with DOE Order 151.1D.
