This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of both physical and virtual IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing enterprise-level environments and demonstrates a proactive approach to system reliability and security.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux-based systems, including servers and workstations.
- Administer and maintain core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Perform system updates, backups, and patch management to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Troubleshoot system and application issues, identifying and resolving root causes.
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Maintain detailed system documentation, procedures, and configuration records.
- Ensure systems comply with security policies and best practices.
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests in accordance with established SLAs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system requirements and integration efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field-or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a system administration role.
- Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with system monitoring tools, patching, and security configurations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Security+ certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Networking experience is a plus
- Experience in a government or DoD environment with knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, RMF).
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, Intune).
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Linux+, or VMware VCP.
