Salary Range: IRES-SEN1 - Senior Engineer Step 2 CAT 84
• Average Salary $116,600 (Range $106,600 – $126,600)
Shift/Work Hours: Full Time – Onsite, (Remote/Telework: Not available for this position)
Minimum Basic Requirements:
• Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
• Systems engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (e.g. DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF)
• Strong knowledge of modeling languages (e.g. SySML, UML)
• Experience using model-based SE tools (DOORs, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)
• Excellent analytical thinking, strategic planning, and effective communication
Job Description:
The Model-based Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Drive culture and adoption of MBSE throughout the organization by promoting the use of MBSE and providing training and support to the team.
• Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to MBSE and system architecture deployment. Create formal processes for applying MBSE within the program.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with various engineering disciplines and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated system design and digital environment.
• Integrate Model-based Systems Engineering Principles and Requirements into digital environments across the enterprise.
• Develop and manage system architectures, interfaces, and requirements using MBSE tools. This involves creating models using languages like SysML to represent the system's structure, behavior, and various functional and non-functional requirements.
• Communicate complex engineering technical information to team members of various backgrounds and disciplines.
• Help establish and maintain the Technical Baseline for a Command and Control (C2), and Research, Development, and Test (RDT) Operations Center.
