We are seeking an experienced Senior Capture Manager to drive strategic growth initiatives within our defense contracting portfolio. This role will focus on leading complex capture efforts exceeding $200M, with particular emphasis on Air Force, Space Force, and DoD opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring proven success in IDIQ vehicle management, proposal development, and customer relationship building. You will report to the Director of Growth and work within Core4ce's Applied Mission Solutions Business Unit located in Beavercreek, Ohio. Being a member of our team will require you to be flexible and resourceful in how we accomplish achieving our objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture Leadership & Strategy
• Lead full lifecycle capture management for opportunities greater than $200M, from identification through award • Develop comprehensive capture strategies, business plans, and go-to-market approaches for complex DoD solicitations • Execute detailed capture plans ensuring progressive opportunity maturation through established gate review processes • Facilitate win strategy development sessions including technical approach, teaming arrangements, past performance positioning, and competitive pricing strategies
Business Development & Growth
• Build and maintain robust opportunity pipeline with revenue projections and probability assessments • Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key customers, particularly within Air Force, Space Command, NGA, ISR, and MDA communities • Lead competitive intelligence gathering and analysis to position company advantages against incumbent and competing contractors • Support identification of new market opportunities across multiple contract vehicles including OASIS+, SeaPort NxG, STARS III, and GSA schedules
Proposal & Technical Excellence
• Interpret complex RFPs, RTEPs, and RFIs to develop compliant, competitive response strategies • Collaborate with technical teams, solution architects, and SMEs to develop innovative, executable solutions • Lead proposal development activities including technical volume creation, pricing strategy development, and compliance reviews • Conduct gate reviews, color team reviews, and executive briefings for senior leadership
Financial & Contract Management
• Develop sophisticated pricing strategies across multiple contract types and acquisition vehicles • Manage capture budgets and business development investments with accountability for ROI metrics • Support contract negotiations and teaming agreement development • Analyze financial performance data to inform capture strategy and risk mitigation • Assist business unit leadership and the Director of Growth with financial insights for strategic decision-making and resource allocation
Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with Director of Growth, program managers, proposal managers, and executive leadership • Mentor and develop junior business development staff • Coordinate cross-functional teams including R&D, finance, contracts, and operations personnel • Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
Process Innovation & Technology Integration
• Participate in and contribute to the development of tools and processes to streamline and improve the company's ability to identify, qualify, and capture opportunities using emerging technology and AI-enabled tools • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in capture methodologies and business development processes • Evaluate and implement innovative approaches to market intelligence gathering and competitive analysis
Requirements:
Clearance & Education
• Security Clearance: Secret required, Top Secret preferred
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related technical field; Master's degree strongly preferred
Professional Experience
• Capture Experience: 5-10 years of successful capture management in DoD/Federal markets with demonstrated wins on opportunities exceeding $100M
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Air Force, Space Force, NGA, and MDA acquisition processes and requirements
• IDIQ Experience: Proven track record with major contract vehicles including OASIS+, Hemisphere, SeaPort NxG, STARS III, and GSA schedules
• Financial Acumen: Work with business development and operations teams to prepare BOEs, research and evaluate funding availability; develop executable, price-to-win strategies, and identify opportunities to capture fall-out or unobligated funds

• Proposal Excellence: Strong technical and proposal writing skills with experience leading winning submissions
• Relationship Management: Established network within DoD acquisition community with ability to influence customer requirements
• Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and execute multi-year business development strategies

• Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with executive briefing experience
Technical Skills
• Proficiency with capture management tools and CRM systems • Advanced financial modeling and analysis capabilities
• Understanding of government acquisition lifecycle and regulations • Experience with Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and pricing methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
• Defense Background: Prior contractor, military or civilian service in acquisition, program management, financial management, contracting, or related fields
• Specialized Experience: Background in unmanned systems, aerospace, or advanced technology programs
• Commitment & Leadership: Willingness to assist the Director of Growth in achieving key success outcomes: • Pipeline development exceeding $1B in total opportunity value • Achieve annual revenue growth targets • Raise Customer satisfaction and establish relationship development metrics • Team development and mentorship effectiveness
