Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position plays a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting month-end close, annual financial audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and government contract regulations (FAR/DFARS), and optimizing workflows within Unanet GovCon ERP.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position plays a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting month-end close, annual financial audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and government contract regulations (FAR/DFARS), and optimizing workflows within Unanet GovCon ERP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll reconciliation, fixed assets, and timekeeping interfaces.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and improve internal controls over accounting transactions and compliance.
- Prepare audit support documentation and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor compliance with indirect rate structures and allocations in Unanet.
- Assist with the preparation of incurred cost submissions and other government reporting.
- Partner with Program Advisory Group, Human Resources, Contracts, and Program Managers to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Assist with processing semi-monthly payroll in ADP.
- Continuously enhance processes, workflows, and Unanet configurations to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively, with a team-oriented mindset
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including government contracting.
- Proficiency in Unanet GovCon ERP.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and FAR/DFARS compliance.
- Demonstrated experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ADP payroll
- Experience preparing or supporting DCAA audits and incurred cost submissions.
- Prior experience in a mid-size professional services or consulting firm.
