The Intelligence, Analytics, and Enterprise Technology Department leverages MITRE's 30+ year partnership with Law Enforcement and Domestic Security agencies through unmatched knowledge of mission needs, threats and lessons learned in the use of analytics, enterprise technology adoption, intelligence, and technical tradecraft to take on the hardest problems. The N952 Department supports the internal research and development programs and Law Enforcement Next, which involve operational prototyping and technology transformation to broaden the impact of MITRE capabilities.

Job Description:

The Intel, Analytics & Enterprise Tech Department is seeking to add a Department Administrator to our team. The position involves providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the department and division leadership, including calendar management, meeting/event planning, travel arrangements, expense report preparation, document review/editing, and coordination of sensitive information. The role also includes managing SharePoint sites, tracking action items, and supporting division-wide initiatives. The administrator must exhibit discretion, professionalism, and strong organizational skills while interacting with senior MITRE leaders and government officials.

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining and managing the Division and Department leaderships' calendars, which requires the ability to prioritize the DM's requirements, commitments, and requests for meetings.
  • Tracking action items and suspense dates for corporate, center, division, department, and site matters
  • Planning and organizing meetings, conferences, and events, to include coordinating supporting services (facility reservation, audio/visual support, catering, security, etc.)
  • Managing logistics associated with on-site candidate interviews for department positions, including room reservations and interview panel scheduling
  • Monitoring department absences and time reports, patch updates, mandatory training
  • Managing secret space to include updating clearance lists, office supply inventory, and facilities requests
  • Exercising discretion regarding sensitive information at all levels both internally and externally
  • Managing business travel for Division and Department leadership teams and other department staff using MITRE's travel and expense system
  • Providing administrative and logistics support to department personnel
  • Reviewing and editing technical documents, including monthly and quarterly progress reports and any other technical deliverables
  • Assembling background materials for meetings and briefings; assist in compiling, posting, and electronically organizing & archiving such information, as necessary
  • Arranging for office moves and manage division property and audit tracking
  • Maintaining and ordering department office supplies
  • Tracking and purchasing items with budget updates
  • Reconciling the Department MITRE Purchase Card monthly
  • Run/monitor personnel planning reports and act as back-up/proxy for DM Workday processes
  • Assembling packages for new employees and arrange for their arrival
  • Helping Department Managers to develop and implement department templates and standard practices
  • Composing correspondence as required
  • Updating and maintain department SharePoint Site
  • Working collaboratively with the other department and division administrators
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with managers/staff.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent in education, or 2 years' experience and an Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams Meetings)
  • Comfort with exercising independent judgement consistent with corporate objectives, philosophies, and broad policies
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player under time and work constraints with minimal supervision/direction
  • Tactful engagement approach with all levels of management
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to deal with ambiguous situations
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Knowledge of MITRE policies/procedures and its organization
  • Demonstrated success in organizing, creating, and managing SharePoint sites
  • Previous experience with graphic design
  • Concur Travel and Expense Experience
