Overview
Indigo Industries is seeking a Technology Assessor to lead the evaluation of emerging defense technologies for operational relevance, mission utility, and transition viability. This role supports the company’s mission to accelerate the deployment of advanced capabilities through rigorous, mission-focused assessments and experimentation. The Technology Assessor will play a critical role in identifying, planning, and executing technical evaluations in coordination with government sponsors, end users, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, plan, and execute structured assessments of technologies under consideration for operational integration.
Conduct capability gap analysis and technology maturity assessments in support of Department of Defense stakeholders.
Author detailed test and evaluation artifacts, including Assessment & Evaluation Plans, Data Collection Plans, and Final Technical Reports.
Establish and track operational metrics, including Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), Measures of Suitability (MOSs), Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), and Critical Operational Issues (COIs).
Coordinate test events across laboratory, field, and simulation environments; support data instrumentation, analysis, and reporting.
Participate in planning conferences, working groups, and joint experiment coordination meetings.
Work collaboratively with government sponsors, technical vendors, and internal project staff to align assessment objectives with transition pathways.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied science, systems analysis, or a closely related discipline.
At least three years of experience in systems evaluation, defense prototyping, or test and evaluation (T&E).
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and rapid prototyping efforts.
Demonstrated ability to manage assessment cycles across diverse technical areas and user communities.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., DAU T&E Level II or higher, PMP).
Experience supporting DoD programs of record, Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations (JCTDs), or programs executed under Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs).
Operational experience or direct support to the Department of Defense, intelligence community, or national security stakeholders.
Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., AFSIM, OneSAF, or equivalent) and experimental data analysis techniques.
Clearance Requirements
Active Secret clearance required.
Top Secret / SCI eligibility preferred.
