Job Description:

We seek an experienced and highly organized Procurement Specialist to join our company as a key cross-functional team member. The successful candidate plays a crucial role in managing the procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring efficient purchasing practices to meet the organization’s needs while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards. This includes ensuring the timely and efficient sourcing, procurement, and delivery of materials, equipment, technology, and services to support various programs, such as providing cutting-edge technology to private sector clients and executing construction/engineering projects for the federal government. The role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations, supporting overall project goals, and driving the expansion of our logistics and procurement capabilities.

Ideal Skills, Certifications, and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration. Supply Chain Management, or a related field is
preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the federal government contracting, or construction and engineering industries.
• Security Clearance: Top Secret

Skills:
o 2-4 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
o Excellent organizational and planning skills.
o Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
o Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Supply Chain and Procurement Management:
◦ Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
◦ Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms.
◦ Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
◦ Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
◦ Track and report on procurement performance metrics and KPIs.

Risk Management:
◦ Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
◦ Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:
◦ Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including inventory levels, and performance metrics.
◦ Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance and issues to senior management.
