James Scott, LLC is seeking a Software Systems Architect Engineer to support of its top tier customers. Duties include Software systems architecture support to facilitate integration and operability across the PM EW&C portfolio and beyond. This support shall include EW, Cyber, and SIGINT, and Tracking, reporting, and consolidation of testing and demonstration opportunities across the Programs.
The selected Engineer will also identify opportunities within the portfolio to support collaborative operations in a military context, provide integrated, multi-disciplined solution and recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
Minimum Requirements
• Familiarity and Knowledge of software interfaces, data exchange and networking experience
• Experience with virtualized environments and automation tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, VMs, VMWare, Ansible and legacy tools
• Programming languages such as Python and Ubiquitous
• Ability to recommend integrated architectures that support interoperability needs
• Superb communication skill with the ability to create and provide briefings on complex topics to senior officials
• Good experience developing milestone charts and swim lane diagrams
• Strong Microsoft Excel or MS Project knowledge as a user
Experience
• Two or more years in cyber, cloud-based web-platforms, Information Technology, or
C4ISR systems
• Minimum of five years of Systems engineering experience to include collaborating with system stakeholders to translate operational requirements into system/software requirements, designs, and implementation plans
Education
• Bachelor or graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
• Four additional years of relevant technical experience may be substituted for education
Desired Skills
• Hands-on experience with Military networks
• Demonstrated ability to make recommendations for business process improvements
• Familiarity with EW, SIGINT and electromagnetic elements
• An understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to technology
