BlueHalo, an AV Company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Systems Engineer to join our Kinetic Effectors Group. This role will join the Systems Engineering Team from requirements decomposition through Systems Verification and Validation of the Next Generation Counter Uncrewed Aerial System Missile (NGCM) in support of national defense objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, government customers, and suppliers to deliver cutting-edge solutions in a mission-critical environment.

Salary Range: $1118,000 - $153,000

Key responsibilities for successful candidates:
- Define system-level requirements and manage the system architecture across all phases of the missile development lifecycle.
- Support the development of system-level concepts of operations (CONOPS), architecture models, and interface definitions.
- Collaborate with domain experts in guidance, control, propulsion, seekers, and warhead systems to ensure cohesive integration.
- Conduct architecture trade studies, system decomposition, allocation of functions across subsystems, risk assessments and design reviews.
- Derive system requirements from customer-furnished information such as reference scenarios and develop technical performance metrics for system architectures that support engagement of emerging complex threats.
- Develop and maintain digital models (MBSE) that support lifecycle decisions.
- Support the lead systems engineer in technical interface to internal stakeholders, suppliers, and government customers.
- Oversee system verification and validation, including support of test planning, execution, and analysis.
- Champion systems engineering best practices, risk management, and technical baselines across development phases.
- Partner with the program Lead Systems Engineer to set priorities, track technical progress, and maintain a technical baseline that can be flowed down to the team members
- Participate in proposal development, including assisting with plans and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant military standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance, but exceptional candidates with the ability to successfully undergo government screening to obtain the appropriate level of clearance will also be considered.
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience in complex system development.
- Deep understanding of system-of-systems design and missile subsystem interdependencies.
- Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), preferably using SysML and tools such as Cameo.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is essential.
- Must be proficient in use Microsoft business tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Candidate should: 1) be extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, 2) have experience as part of a cohesive team and be able to deliver the highest quality service, 3) be able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Travel approx. 20%.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and interface with senior stakeholders.
- Experience architecting complex weapon systems for the U.S. Department of Defense.
- Familiarity with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Digital Engineering strategies.
- Experience with DoD acquisition processes and military standards.
- Prior work with air-to-air, air-to-ground, or surface-to-air missile systems.
- Experience working with US Army acquisition organizations.
