Links Technology is currently seeking a visionary Mid-Level MBSE Systems Engineer to join our client's team in Englewood, CO. Our client is a leader in advancing aerospace and defense technologies, committed to ensuring the safety of service members and developing systems that keep our world united and sustain our way of living. This is a Contract role offering the Mid-Level MBSE Systems Engineer an exciting opportunity to leverage their expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to research, architect intricate system designs, create detailed models, simulate performance, and optimize cutting-edge defense products and services.
Responsibilities of the MBSE Systems Engineer
Define and manage system architectures, interfaces, and requirements using MBSE tools.
Implement MBSE methodologies for the program.
Develop and maintain system models using SysML to ensure design consistency, traceability, and integration across multiple programs.
Define and document system architecture requirements and ensure traceability to system models.
Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, cybersecurity engineers, and system safety engineers to ensure that architecture design is reusable, scalable, and certifiable.
Assist with the development of internal reference architecture.
Work closely with other programs to develop services and components, including building system models that will represent system performance attributes so that key performance requirements can be tracked and analyzed through the program lifecycle.
Qualifications of the MBSE Systems Engineer
Bachelor of Science degree in System Engineering or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, consistent with a Systems Engineer III or Mid-Level Systems Engineer profile.
Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools (e.g., ENOVIA Requirements Management, DOORS, Cameo, Dymola, MATLAB) is preferred.
Practical knowledge of industry-standard Systems Engineering design principles, including traditional Systems Engineering and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE); INCOSE certification (ASEP/CSEP) is a plus.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Benefits of the MBSE Systems Engineer
