SALARY RANGE: $130-150K
We are seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator (Level 2) to manage, secure, and optimize large-scale cloud infrastructure and services in support of national security missions. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in cloud system administration, container orchestration, and system-level networking. This role requires both technical expertise and operational agility in secure, high-demand environments.
An active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience:
○ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in system or cloud administration
○ A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics is highly desired and may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
• Certifications:
○ Must possess a Hadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or equivalent Cloud System/Service certification that is DoD 8570 compliant, such as:
§ AWS Certified Developer – Associate
§ AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
§ Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
§ Elastic Certified Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS and Kubernetes environments
• Configure and support SSH tunneling, dynamic SOCKS proxies, and advanced secure file utilities such as rsync, pdsh, pdcp, and WinSCP
• Apply foundational networking knowledge to support and troubleshoot VLANs, port channel bonding, and Layer 2/3 switch operations
• Manage and optimize software load balancers such as HAProxy and Nginx for scalable web service deployments
• Leverage Kubernetes orchestration services and Docker to manage containerized workloads
• Implement and maintain log aggregation and monitoring tools, including:
○ Elasticsearch, Logstash, Filebeat, Grafana, rsyslog
Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience troubleshooting cloud-native services at scale
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Strong documentation, scripting, and diagnostic skills
