This position is for the Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program, one of Lockheed Martin's best-in-class Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity and reliability.
We are looking for a dependable professional to join our tight-knit group. This position is for a Technical Writer/Editor in the Post Boost Control System (PBCS) IPT that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. The PBCS IPT is responsible for the development, manufacture, and management of the PBCS which is an attitude control and propulsive subsystem.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with both our team and others to gather information, understand product functionalities, and program plans to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including contract deliverables and descriptions of the technical system. As the author of PBCS program plans you will recommend improvements to documentation, documentation tools, business processes, and internal systems to facilitate an efficient and effective work environment. This position will offer numerous mentorship opportunities with PBCS management and technical leads to aid in your career development.
As the PBCS Technical Writer, you will:
• Collaborate with the technical team to gather information and capture it in program documentation
• Ensures PBCS effectively communicates with our Navy partner succinctly and thoroughly

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,400 - $101,200. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
