TechOp Solutions International is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Team Lead (FOIA) to support our dynamic team in providing exceptional FOIA services. This role is critical for enhancing our ability to respond to FOIA requests efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TechOp, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000.00 to $85,000.00

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Team Lead in managing FOIA operations, including overseeing day-to-day activities, and ensuring timely and efficient response to FOIA requests.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on FOIA processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Review and analyze FOIA requests for accuracy and adherence to legal standards, making determinations on the applicability of FOIA exemptions.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to gather required records and information to fulfill FOIA requests.
- Manage project timelines and ensure the FOIA team meets established performance metrics and deadlines.
- Conduct quality control reviews of FOIA responses and create reports on team performance and compliance.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to FOIA processes.
- Assist in implementing process improvements and efficiencies within the FOIA program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FOIA processing or related fields.
- Strong understanding of FOIA regulations and exemptions.
- Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with FOIA processing software and electronic document management systems.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a background check.
