Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our fully remote team supporting our client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced ServiceNow solutions that meet our client's business needs. You will have deep knowledge of core modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management, as well as advanced modules or custom application development. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyze requirements, develop custom applications, and ensure the optimal performance and functionality of the ServiceNow platform.

Technical Environment: On-prem ServiceNow instance hosted by a third party, not ServiceNow cloud. Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating systems; ServiceNow ticketing system; Microsoft 365 Office suite of applications.

Requirements
- Development and Customization: Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications and modules, including custom scripts, workflows, and integrations.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior developers and other team members. Review and enhance existing code and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements. Translate these requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to ServiceNow applications and integrations. Provide ongoing support and maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Business Rules: Develop and manage complex business rules to automate processes and ensure system integrity.
- APIs and Integrations: Design and implement integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange between ServiceNow and other systems.
- Custom Applications: Build and maintain custom ServiceNow applications tailored to specific business needs, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Best Practices: Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and industry guidelines in all development activities.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features, updates, and industry trends. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve system functionality and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, including extensive hands-on experience with business rules, APIs, integrations, and custom applications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow platform scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), REST and SOAP integrations, and ServiceNow development tools.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist, or similar relevant certifications preferred. Security+ certification is required.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members.

- Experience implementing the DevOps module is key.
