Linux Systems Administrator

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Linux Systems Administrator to support a federal program out of Elizabeth City, NC. The Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for server administration, application support and cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities of the Linux Systems Administrator:

· Participate in all stages of system development, with a focus on analysis, testing, and deployment

· Provide specialized support in areas such as OS software, system integration, and database administration.

· Maintain and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SANs)

· Manage and implement software releases and updates

Qualifications of the Linux Systems Administrator:

· 1+ years of hands-on experience managing Linux-based server environment

· Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic or Apache Web/Application Servers

· Strong experience with SANs (Storage Area Network)

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance

· Certifications: CompTIA Security+ certification or an equivalent IAT Level II (Required)

· Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an associate degree with relevant IT certifications.

Compensation of the Linux Systems Administrator:

· Salary: Between $50,000 - $60,000 based on years of relevant experience
