Security Clearance Requirement:

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Physical Security Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to Ensure assigned security projects and programs comply with required security governance for physical, industrial, information, and other applicable security disciplines, Coordinate with other SIS office and divisions (SISP, SISG, Policy, Classification Management, etc.)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop solutions and convey to internal and external customers. Provide agency level technical expertise concerning physical security, industrial security, foreign disclosure/release and information security.
- Use as directed administration and security electronic software tools, databases and systems to sustain and advance the Industrial and Physical Security Programs of NGA.
- Maintain an active access to administration and security electronic software tools, databases and systems as needed to safeguarding classified information, NGA programs and advance the Industrial and Physical Security Programs of NGA.
- Contractor may be required to be office custodians for access to related security and associated databases, networks and applications as needed to fulfill the mission of the Industrial and Physical Security Division. This includes data entry for office operations.
- Update and maintain records, i.e., accreditation packages, approvals, (e.g., database and hardcopy), current and accurate Co-Utilization and Joint-Utilization agreements, collateral area files, status remarks, expirations, inspections, assistance visits, DD Form 254, etc.
- Manage and maintain data entries into community databases, e.g. IC SCIF database, NGA's PeopleSoft database, and locally created database used to track work efforts.
- Maintain complete, current, and accurate records in accordance with agency policy and federal laws.
- Maintain well organized electronic and hardcopy records.
- Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.
- Provide input and assist with drafting policy documents, standard operating procedures, instructional handouts and other forms of awareness and training materials for physical and industrial security.
- Provide cost-effective recommendations to reduce or eliminate physical security risks or when security requirements impeded mission success.
- Prepare and review Fixed Facility Checklists and documentation supporting the SCIF accreditation process, compartmented area approval and secure area approval process.
- Perform site security surveys to determine if facilities meet requirements for SCIF accreditation.
- Provide security recommendations and guidance for new facilities and those to be renovated.
- Inspect and provide guidance and oversight for the management of government and industry SCIFs and Collateral Areas.
- Provide recommendations to accredit and de-accredit SCIFS, Compartmented Areas, and Collateral Areas in support of the Life Cycle Management efforts.
- Manage and oversee the SCIF and Collateral Area lifecycle from concept to completion, planning and construction, operation and management, and mission conclusion and
- Monitor and update existing SCIF accreditations and secure areas, as appropriate. Provide recommendations for formal approval of all NGA SCIF's and collateral areas, for both government and contractor facilities located in CONUS and OCONUS.
- Liaise with members of the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community (IC) and others officials as required to keep abreast of current issues, as required and insofar as protocol permits.
- Apply knowledge and experience to solve physical security challenges to support agency mission and goals in terms of balancing cost, time, performance and risk.
- Provide oversight and audit key and lock, GSA container, and alarm testing and maintenance programs in accordance with applicable DoD and IC policy requirements.
- Provide trip reports which include inspection, recommendations, items requiring follow through and
- Provide support to NGA's collaborative foreign partnerships and partnership agreements.
- Provide guidance to NGA and NGA partners (government and industrial) pertaining to safeguarding classified information and NGA programs.
- As directed government, visit government and industrial sites worldwide to validate requirements are being met and to assists and advise security programs at visited location connected to safeguarding classified information and NGA programs. Upon return, create reports in formats directed by government documenting results, outcomes, observations and recommendations and other items and areas as requested by government for each site visited and presented to government.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- A high school diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
- An active Top-Secret.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an SCI.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a CI POLY
